Final Addiction

Here is another Christmas image on its way to be sold as royalty free on istockphoto.com.  Still a work in progress... but I'll post the finished product and updates for when its available to download.

Some new images hopefully to be approved soon on Istockphoto.com.  I hope you'll enjoy them and many of you will find a use for them as Christmas comes closer...  First up is my design of FlameHead or sometimes called Flameboy, decked out in Santa clothing.  I thought he'd look great as Santa's helper,  what do you think?

Next is another revamped design (I didn't like him as much before, as he had a lot of weak lines in him and I beefed them up.  I thought a biker-style young Santa would be cool.  Well maybe not too young, after all his goatee is still white, but hey... The idea for the slogan "Sleigh to Live" just hit me and I went with it, so if its way stupid, deal with it :P  People can always just remove it if they buy the art once its approved.

This is Bid 'Ed Bunny.  Why the name?  Because he has a darned Big 'Ed! (head) He has a grumpy attitude for the same reason too.  Everyone seems to call him Big 'Ed when he knows its not because they think his name is Ed cus he's not a big bunny at all.  In fact most of the rest of his features seem to belong on a runt but anyway that's another subject he'd rather not discuss or I might be " Ed-butted".... BWAHAHA!

Ok update.  I've been working more on this character.  Here are the updates.  Hope you like em!

Side note:  Fashions are taken from real life but obviously not mainstream.  Or I should say "inspired by"  The skirts and/or shorts with the wild looking lower pant flaring pant legs exist.   Just look up Visual Kei Punk, Gothic or Punk fashion.  The Skirts, obviously very Japanese.  Started with inspirations from Gothic Lolita styles and well.. you see where its going.  Crossing belts:  mine.  Synth dreads are real too but these aren't a great copy of them.  If you can imagine that these are tubes wrapping her hair with ribbons dispersed throughout.

What this is for, I'm not tellin. :P  But you can tell me if you like or dislike :D I can take the criticism.  I know my work isn't perfect and these are extremely rough but its mostly conceptualizing as I move the pencil if you get my meaning.  No I'm NOT going to tell you what the concept is!   ...yet. lol  Talk soon!  Or later... probably more the latter.

Hmmm what am I thinking? What's with the name change on my blog?  Well to be perfectly honest, I've always felt compelled to keep my posts limited to pretty much everything, well... Vinyl.  Or at least closely related to it, such as underground art and such.  Have I lost my passion for art ? Is that what I'm saying?  Well, no... what, are you crazy? My opinion, once an artist, always an artist, even those in "hibernation" like I've been for awhile except for a few things I've been doing.  Anyway, so thats the word on my abandoning my first and true love (for anything outside of God and my wife, of course).   So what am I doing? 

New direction in my vox.  I just want to open it up to even more randomly unrelated, sometimes boring crap I just want to put down on virtual paper. 

There's enough sites for Vinyl Toys and the like.  In fact that's partly why I'm a little bored with them.  Too close to mainstream.  Too many designers, too many copycats, yada yada.   ::::yawn::::  but I'lll still post some stuff if something truly stands out for me as something extra special.  So what about my other site, VinylToyFreaks?  Well the jury (that's me, and the other guy that owns the site..) is still out on how that will change :/
