Ichihashi was finally caught. It only took police almost three years.
He somehow managed to have a job and get lots of plastic surgery, despite being one of the most wanted men in the country.
This picture shows that he was starting to look a little Michael Jackson-ish (taken around midnight last night while being brought to Chiba police from a ferry port in Osaka, he was on his way to Okinawa apparently).
He's the guy who killed the 22-year old British English teacher, buried her in an unused bathtub on his porch, then ran away shoe-less when eight cops came to arrest him.
I've also seen some crazy customizations such as Hatsune Miku from the Vocaloid franchise swapped in as the main character! Too cool! There's also a whole bunch more, like Cloud from Final Fantasy, Gundam, even an Evangelion lol. An anime fans dream, so to speak!

Just got this email from my mama:
I sent you coffee and birthday card. I enclosed ichimanen [10,000yen]. Not much but you can buy some winter underwear or something. Be happy. Love you, Mother
And this was a line in an email from Tik (in reference to the fact that I might be over-watering the giant cactus from Fuckwater and killing it):
I don't think Fuckwater's giant penis (cactus needs) water twice a week. I'd do that every two weeks and even then, that might be too much. Don't kill it, its amazing.
Laughing my pants off. Going to work now.
Episode one is split into five different videos, each of which you can catch for free over at youtube. For seasoned veterans, you may want to skip to part three to catch a refresher course on combos and wall techniques. Lots of good info abound here folks -- check it out!

I hate the Korean. I hate him with a passion, he makes me want to throw up, he makes my skin crawl, I can't STAND him, and I want him to disappear.
He is disgusting.
I've cleaned my room, but haven't done the laundry yet. That will have to wait until Tuesday.
Goodnight, y'all.
There's a tournament this weekend I wanted to travel to, but it seems unlikely I'll make it now with friends in tow. My good friend Jon guesstimated it would cost about $40 per person. So four people altogether would've ran about $160 bucks in gas for both ways? Wait, what the hell? How does that add up? I spent about $50 alone for my trip to Dallas, which is about equal distance...something's afoot here...
Sigh. I seriously need a car that's well-tuned and a little bit more reliable.
So Bakemonogatari 13 came out this week, and lo and behold the fansubbers were all over it. Not even a day after it's online stream, people had subtitles ready to go. Gotta love that dedication!
I still need to get back to work on that Sket Dance translation. Been putting it off for far too long since Tekken 6 came out...

4Gamer.net ― 「鉄拳6」の各要素をゲーマガ編集部が紹介。PS3版とXbox 360版のロード時間なども検証してみた(鉄拳6)
PS3 load times (installed vs uninstalled) are pretty significant. Like 20 to 30 seconds significant. And the Xbox360 gets the better end of the stick too!
The question I have right now is, "was it rushed?" Most certainly not one would believe, but after playing Scenario Campaign mode and the much-anticipated Online mode, I was dismayed and bewildered. Granted I don't play fighting games for the story so I didn't have any absurdedly high expectations for Scenario mode but Online mode? What the hell happened here?
Nothing beats playing someone in person but I was hoping to at least be able to play some old Tekken friends over the online mode. Unfortunately I couldn't even play my friend who lives in the same city as me due to horrible synching problems. If I can handle playing Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV worldwide, why can't I enjoy Tekken in my own region?
You'd think Namco would have the capacity to at least incorporate some simple mechanics from the Nina Williams "Death by Degrees" spinoff for the Scenario Campaign mode, but noooo, lets keep that horribly awkward mechanic of confusing the analog stick inputs with the rocker pad, yeah! No Namco, we don't need every single attack in the movelist; just one or two work just fine. Oh hey, a targeting system. Woot, thanks.
At least a patch is on the way.
Modes aside, Tekken 6 is the best incarnation of the franchise yet. With a slew of new moves and gameplay tweaks abound, Tekken remains the undisputed king of balanced fighting. Even the joke characters can stand their ground with a slew of much-needed attacks that round out their already impressive repetoire of shenanigans. Namco probably also heard the fans decries of previous versions, and super nerfed the typically strongest characters in the game: the Mishima family. They're just terrible to play now, albeit still unquestionably solid.
In short, tl;dr, buy the game if you're a hardcore Tekken fan. Buy it if you enjoy 3D games and have a reasonable amount of friends to butt heads with. Just don't buy it expecting anything too terribly philosophic. Remember, masher and master are only a single letter apart.
