Mimobot's spawned a mutation... Check out Vimobot!

I don't remember if I've ever covered Mimoco's Mimobots before so I'll just briefly say a couple things for those of you who have no clue as to what they are.  Mimobots are a line of USB flash drives inspired by the designer toy scene.  They are the creation of  Yahid Rodriguez.  They've been very popular, and I have to admit that I've wanted them for the geekiness of it all, both from an collector standpoint and techie.  The toys have had such artists grace their shells such as Tado, Devilrobots and Mori Chack.  Seriously, these things are really cool, albeit they are flash drives, so they aren't cheap. 

Vimobots are the offshoot of the mimobot series.  Created in our favorite medium, Vinyl!  They are approximately 4" tall. They're running $9.95 so a lot more affordable than their hi-tech counterparts if you just want something to look at. :)

The coolest part of it all is that they are releasing a DIY version that I gotta have!  I love their body shape and think they would lend themselves to yet another boombu-related design, don't ya think?  :-D  ON top of that is that there is a contest to win with this.

DIY Vimobot

This is definitely a toy that I want to customize.. keep an eye out for that!
