I just thought it would be funny to post this for all of you people (if there are any left since I've been quite absent lately) that follow my blog.. As you know many many months ago I posted Skullboy the image below. If memory serves, I also had posted sketches of the progress shots and everything, and considering it is very similar to all of my other design work, I believe (tell me if I'm wrong) that it really reflects my own personal style. In no way, do I think it is a ripoff of anyone's style, at least, I hope not... In any case, the design is 100% s4ndm4n's and I was amazed and shocked to get the following comment on the image..
I found it humorous to see someone trying to lay claim to one of my own designs and frankly I'm flattered that someone would find it valuable enough to pull that kind of crap.. lol Why? Because if it wasn't a decent design in the first place no one would care right? Well cool. Since I know that I truly did the work, well umm, that can't be taken not matter how many times someone cries "Thief" about my own work. :) Just for the record, these are the images straight from my hard drive including the original SCANNED sketch. Enjoy the humor guys..

I've added a new outlet for my art recently. Similar to many of the other on demand services like cafe press, istockphoto and others, redbubble allows you to upload your art and sell it in various formats to people. It is free to sign up and upload and for the proceeds, they just take a portion of what you make off of your products just like any of the other services. Of course the profit margins are lower than if you do this on your own but for starting out and getting a measure of residual income, this could be a good thing. We'll see, its worth a try!
Here are my first offerings at redbubble so far, each selling for about $25. Check it out if you like what you see here
Well the Boombus have sold out and the sculptor is waiting to get some more materials to continue casting the remaining of them + some DIYs for sale. People interested in those, ordering for those is still open. Let me know if you're interested. Again, those are $30, plus shipping.
In the meantime, I've been pondering whether the monochromatic Skullboy design would make a popular tshirt design. I have spoken with a company that is able to do small runs, but I'd have to have a minimum number of orders to go forward with this. I would need at least 12 orders for shirts to do this. This would again be a preorder but I won't start taking payments until the first 12 orders were confirmed by people. This would be on a white or light beige shirt. Selling for about $25 each. Of course keep in mind this will not be heat transfer, direct print or other print style that tend to fade, but would be a high quality Silk-screened print. (please comment also)
(removed poll because it wasn't working correctly)
Here's a version of what it might look like on a darker shirt (gray). Is this better?
Color version of skullboy is available on istockphoto now here. This is the new Mono version going up on innertee hopefully soon:
Here is a newer version with the background included. Considering releasing this as a silk screen tshirt if I can get enough interest.
Here's a first colorized version of skullboy. I'm considering putting him up on istock with others of my characters. Maybe. Also thinking about adding some optional interchangeable backgrounds with him or head symbols or something that can be made to individualize the guy. Anyway, hope you like! Still more coloring to do, as you can see.. if you didn't see the early sketch, click here.
